During the holidays, it’s not uncommon to for many of us to host a Christmas party of some kind, whether it’s with our Community Group, family, co-workers, or friends and neighbors. So, why not leverage this gathering for a greater impact, by easily incorporating a food/item collection?
As part of our Love Our City initiative, PV will be collecting Food, Baby Supplies, and Utility money to be give through our Local Compassion Partners this Christmas season. So, when you send out your party invites, make a point to ask people to bring and donate one item (e.g. either a non-perishable food item or a baby essential). Have a designated box ready at your gathering where people can put the items. Make a point during your holiday party to highlight their generosity and the impact it will have on those in need!
This is a simple, but effective way to multiply the impact we can have as a church, by including friends, co-workers and others who may otherwise have no connection to PV!
